I started out the month of November on the crest of a wave of good intentions and motivation. Unfortunately, I ended the month in a trough of exhaustion with few words to show for it.
This was my first year participating in NaNoWriMo and even though I barely cranked out 1/10th the goal word count, I’m still glad I signed up. I had a couple of super productive days at the beginning of the month. While I never managed to get a decent writing routine going, I’m still super impressed with myself.
I’m disappointed that NaNoWriMo doesn’t really factor in all the plotting and outlining I did on the novel I chose as my project. Oh well!
Better luck next year! In the meantime, I’m going to keep writing 🙂
